Saturday, October 14th, Facilitator Training (*AVA Advocate Training required)

• What does genuine faith healing look like?

• How can facilitators create safety?

• How do facilitators support individual healing, confidentiality, and healthy boundaries?

• Learn how you can use Mending the Soul, a Christian interactive workbook, in your community.


To equip churches for ministry to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual abuse.

  • Those desiring to learn about how to help those affected by any type of abuse

Advocate Training:

This AVA Advocate training will answer the above questions. We will equip participants with skills, tools, scriptural context, and resources to begin or continue ministering to those hurting from any form of abuse.


Instructor: Barbara Quesenberry, AVA Regional Coordinator for 3 years. She retired as a Military Intelligence Officer in the US Army after 24 years of service. She holds a BS and Masters of Education in Counseling. For 3 years, Barbara served in the mission field in 6 differnet West African countries as Ship Security Officer aboard the African Mercy/Mercy Ships.
